The Indians in Sydney Gala Dinner 2025 held on Sunday 17 August 2025 at Doltone House, Western Sydney was more than an event, it was a vivid tapestry of culture, leadership, and community spirit, celebrating India’s Independence Day 🇮🇳 and the harmony of multicultural Australia 🇦🇺.

Just like the tricolour of India, the blue and red of Australia, and the black, yellow, and red of the Aboriginal flag, the Gala radiated harmony:

  • 🟧 Saffron of India – Courage and sacrifice, embodied by our tireless volunteers and community leaders.

  • ⚪ White of India – Peace and truth, reflected in the friendships nurtured across cultures.

  • 🟩 Green of India – Growth and hope, shining in the eyes of our youth and future leaders.

  • 🔵 Blue of Australia – Trust and unity, seen in the unwavering support from Australian friends and leaders.

  • 🔴 Red of Australia & Aboriginal flag – Strength, passion, and the deep connection to our land.

  • ⚫ Black of the Aboriginal flag – Honouring the First Nations people whose spirit inspires us.

  • 🟡 Yellow of the Aboriginal flag – The light of hope, much like the blessings received from mentors and elders.

Every colour told a story. Every colour embraced us. Together, they painted the canvas of an unforgettable evening.

The Gala welcomed an extraordinary gathering of dignitaries, parliamentarians, diplomats, faith leaders, and community representatives, all united in celebration of diversity, inclusivity, and shared humanity.

Distinguished attendees included:

  • Hon Chris Minns, Premier of NSW, whose inspiring speech reflected inclusivity, community, and compassionate leadership.

  • Dr Andrew Charlton MP, who rescheduled his international flight to attend, demonstrating extraordinary commitment to the community.

  • Hon Mark Speakman MP, Leader of the Opposition NSW, alongside Sally Sitou MP, Dai Le MP, David Moncrieff MP, Warren Kirby MP, Mark Coure MP, Tim James MP, Tina Ayyad MP, Monica Tudehope MP, Hugh McDermott MP, Donna Davis MP, Kellie Sloane MP, Damien Tudehope MLC, Mark Hodges MP, and Zali Steggall MP.

The evening’s highlights included a Traditional Indian Fashion Showcase, featuring models Urvashi, Ishitva, Neeta, Priyanka, Amisha, Ronica, Sangyan, Arita, Nilshikha, Polly, Saahas, and Neet, each draped in heritage that told stories of craftsmanship, pride, and culture.
