Show of power
By Shameem Hashmi
The world has become a show of power
When did it all just morph into power
Money land resources -get usurped by power
How did it get to the greed take over
When did might ‘n stealth creep into power
Which empire is ready to take over
Bullying, thuggery the new make over
Lost for words the world may stare or wonder
When were values eroded, we now wonder
Wishful greed dictates -just go plunder
Human life, animal kind all will surrender
With agendas like regime change or total surrender
Wiping out terrorism or factions now over and under
New agendas – let’s use tariffs to make ‘em surrender
Better still stop aid en route and just go plunder
Say ceasefire but let not peace reach’em under
Make ‘em cold wet and sick to surrender
Fasting, sick or dyeing its all just over
Easy becomes the plan of full take over
Occupation shall roll out over and over
Fury shall unfurl over and over
Care factor zero
All I am is a hero
I ran did this
I ran did that
Leb non did this
Leb non did that
Syr ya what you got?
That’s not yours
We can unleash might
Through air, land, naval power
America’s show of muscle and power
Boots on grounds yet life is cheap
Israel in tow plays sheep copies sheep
Warning lives of soldiers will be lost to power
Shame agendas will destroy families over
Tax dollar choices or cost of life
Food on table for husband and wife
What’s in it for children or their life
What’s all that in the face of power
Isn’t that the cost of show of power
