Multicultural Eid Dinner brings community together in Queensland

The Multicultural Eid Dinner hosted by Crescent AusIndia Inc was a wonderful success in Queensland, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds to celebrate the spirit of Eid in a warm and inclusive environment.

The evening was attended by distinguished dignitaries including Milton Dick, Federal Speaker, along with Julie-Ann Campbell MP, James Martin MP and Peter Russo MP.

Their presence highlighted the importance of community events that promote harmony and cultural understanding.

Leaders from various multicultural and community organisations also attended, showing strong support for initiatives that bring people together. The event reflected the true values of Eid which is unity, generosity and togetherness.

The program featured a variety of performances that added colour and joy to the evening.

Children took part in Quran recitation and the national anthem, making the community proud. This was followed by engaging cultural performances from talented artists, which were well received by the audience.

The event was made possible with the generous support of sponsors and supporting organisations including Brisbane City Council, Federation of Indian Communities in Queensland (FICQ), Queensland Muslims Inc (QMI), Urdu Forum, Muslim Charitable Foundation (MCF) and GOPIO Brisbane.

Guests also enjoyed a delicious dinner and a variety of homemade desserts prepared with care, which added a special and personal touch to the celebration. A highlight for many, especially children, was the ice cream sponsored for the event.
