World-renowned Palestinian pop singer, Mohammed Assaf, will be performing in Australia for the first time as the main act of ‘Palestine Unites Us’—an evening dedicated to Palestinian culture and identity to headline ‘Palestine Unites Us’ event on Saturday 24 January 2026 at the ICC Sydney Theatre raising funds for Palestine Children’s Relief Fund Australia (PCRF Australia).
While Assaf’s performance will be in Arabic, all other elements of the evening, including supporting acts and program segments, will be delivered in English in the interest of non-Arabic-speaking guests.
The producers of the event, Tales of a Homeland (TOAH), have partnered with PCRF Australia, a nonprofit with a mission to deliver free life-saving healthcare to Palestinian children, as an expression of solidarity with children enduring the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Assaf grew up in the Khan Younis refugee camp in Gaza and has remained deeply engaged in performing traditional and cultural Palestinian songs, using music as a means of preserving heritage and expressing national identity.
Ticket sale proceeds will go towards PCRF Australia’s key initiatives:
1) deployment of medical missions to Palestine and refugee camps in the region;
2) shipment of medical equipment, collected across Australia, to local Palestinian healthcare providers; and
3) medical evacuations of children who are unable to receive necessary treatment at home.
‘Palestine Unites Us’ organisers wish to instil a message of hope and unity by honouring Palestinian heritage through special feature acts such as traditional Palestinian Dabke.
Organisers predict the event will attract both Sydney’s vast Arab population and the broader community of Palestine supporters through its showcasing of prominent Palestinian voices and overarching charitable purpose with PCRF Australia.
