Are you an Australian Muslim? Do you feel Australian? Are you proud to be an Australian?

Salam, my name is Mirela Cufurovic and I would love to hear from you!

I am doing a PhD at Charles Sturt University on how Muslims in Australia see themselves and how their emotions are connected to these identities.

If you:

– Were born in Australia, or

– Arrived before the age of 7, and

– Are over 18 years of age

Mirela Cufurovic researches Australian Muslim history at Charles Sturt Universit, and teaches Australian history and literary studies at Western Sydney University. She is a subject matter expert, writing, reviewing and developing curriculum on subjects in the humanities for Western Sydney University. Mirela is also one of the book review editors for History Australia. She is currently completing her PhD, exploring how emotion shapes Australian Muslim identity development.
