The AMANAH-MEFF Multicultural Eid Festival and Fair was held on Sunday 6 April 2025 tab the Fairfield Showgrounds bringing together thousands of people from diverse backgrounds to celebrate Eid in a vibrant display of unity, culture, and community spirit.
With free parking and free entry, the festival featured over 100 food and market stalls, rides, cultural programs, and fireworks. Free activities for children and seniors, camel rides, train rides, and rock climbing were also part of the festivities.
A key focus of the event was raising awareness about the plight of Palestinians facing relentless genocidal attacks by Israel. The community came together to show solidarity and support for those affected.
Notably, this year’s event introduced an independent people-counting system using radar technology, implemented by ITESA. Manual spot checks were also conducted throughout the day to verify attendance. According to ITESA’s report, the festival welcomed just over 11,000 visitors.
AMANAH-MEFF is committed to transparency and accountability as a not-for-profit event. The Australian MEFF Consortium that organises the annual festival now in its 40th year strives to maintain honest and open relationships with sponsors, stallholders, members, and the public.
The success of AMANAH-MEFF 2025 reinforces its significance on the NSW and Sydney multicultural calendar.
