MyFundAction organised the first International Muslim Youth Exchange Program from 26 December 2023 to 1 January 2024, bringing participants from Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Turkiye, Japan, and Korea to Malaysia.

The International Muslim Youth Exchange Program, the program for Muslim reverts, or what is also known as the program for those who have just converted to Islam, aims to help them adapt to their new life as Muslims and to develop their skills in Dawah, leadership, and entrepreneurship. This program covered various aspects, such as religious education, social guidance, and community support.

Dr Wan Ahmad Afiq, Branch Manager of MyFundAction ANZ, said, “Through this program, we see not only the process of religious change but a journey full of self-discovery, new wisdom, and solidarity between fellow participants. The participants who have followed this program have the opportunity to grow and develop, not only as individuals but also as part of the larger Muslim community.”

The spirit of togetherness and support from the surrounding community have been the main drivers of their journey. In facing challenges and living their new lives, they have found strength in faith, mutual support, and love from fellow Muslims.

Therefore, let’s continue to foster the spirit of inclusivity and warmth in our community. Programs for Muslim reverts are not only about welcoming those who have just embraced Islam but also about building bridges of brotherhood, wisdom, and understanding that cross all boundaries.

“May these inspiring stories be a beacon for all of us, and may we continue to form a society that accepts people with open arms and is full of love.”

Recognizing that events catering to newly reverted and minority Muslim communities are pivotal, the call to support such initiatives echoes as an opportunity to foster unity and understanding on a broader scale. Again, it is not just an event; it is about recognising the power of our youth and giving them the tools to be architects of change in a world hungry for authenticity and understanding.

In conclusion, MyFundAction welcomes the support and willingness of any corporate company, small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) entrepreneur, non-governmental organization (NGO), or individual who wants to collaborate and work together to make our mentorship session with new Muslims and born Muslims a success.
