Eid Milan after Eid al-Adha is a wonderful way to extend the celebrations and bring people together. While Eid ul-Adha focuses on the act of Qurbani (sacrifice) and commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (a) to sacrifice his son in obedience to God, any such events in the community brings the festivity to show joy and happiness.

Islamic forum for Australian Muslim (IFAM) regularly arranges such events in its chapters for local people. A similar event was held on Sunday 22 June 2025 in Marsden Park Masjid.

It was participated by many Muslim families living in the area. To make it a memorable event especially for the kids, a special reptile show was arranged by the IFAM team.

Kids excitement and enthusiasm was exuberant. It was great deal of fun for them as they were very cheerful to see many reptiles creeping in front of them.

A skilful and trained professional was hired who could make it a safe and secured experience for all.

A small and brief Islamic Quiz was organised too which helped the audience to recall their Islamic knowledge. Such activities are very useful for more learning and engaging with each other.

Kids and adults were given sweets and candies for their right answers. It was admired by many parents as their kids were having more knowledge for their Deen with keen interest and motivation in the activity.

All the participants were served with delicious sub-continental meal at the end which included Biryani, qorma and kheer. Small kids were taken care of by providing their favourite food including chips, pizza and roasted chicken.

These events help strengthen social and familial bonds, fostering a sense of unity and togetherness, giving people more time to celebrate and connect.
