MUHSEN Australia will hold its first inaugural “Created with Purpose” Disability Conference on Sunday 20 September 2026 at Hyatt Place, Essendon Fields, bringing together lived experience speakers, advocates and Islamic scholars at the Hyatt Place in Melbourne to celebrate, discuss and create change in Muslim communities.

Allah declares in the Holy Quran:

“Indeed, We have dignified the children of Adam, carried them on land and sea, granted them good and lawful provisions, and privileged them far above many of Our creatures.”  (Quran 17:70)

This verse highlights the importance and value Allah has placed on each and every Human. Including those that have disabilities.

Yet dignity is something that has been stripped away from many individuals in our religious spaces, communities, schools and broader society especially for those living with a disability.

Stairs at a mosque with no ramp access, parents shamed and ostracised if their child is born “different”. Lack of awareness or simply not caring.
We know too well that this is not the way of our Prophet Muhammad (s).

It is time for change

It is about time we care. It is about time our ummah remembers and includes everyone at the dinner table!

And this is why now more than ever MUHSEN is needed.

A not for profit organisation that caters for those living with disabilities and their families in the Muslim and broader community.

Ensuring they have equal access to mosques, Islamic events, respite and even an annual umrah trip created specifically for those that need extra support.

Created with Purpose is not just another conference

We are here to bring a ground-breaking event and the first of its kind in the Muslim community!

The day will be filled with knowledge, awareness, impact and inspiration.

But that’s not all, their will be a sensory room, well thought out market stalls, food trucks and an opportunity to leave a monetary impact at the silent auction.

This day is not only for those living with disabilities and their families. It is for the entire community.

It is not only about a ramp or a parking spot.

It is about belonging, it is about dignity

It is about creating inclusion for all those that have been sidelined, and truly being an ummah that embraces all its members.

If you want to be a part of this change, book your tickets to the conference.
