The Islamic Forum for Australian Muslims (IFAM) successfully hosted its Australia-wide Islamic Quiz Competition across New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, and the Australian Capital Territory on Saturday 25 July 2026 bringing together hundreds of young Muslims in a celebration of faith, knowledge, and community spirit.

Major gatherings were held at prominent educational venues across Australia, including Western Sydney University’s Parramatta Campus in NSW, RMIT University in Victoria, the Australian National University (ANU) in the ACT, and AIC Kewdale in Western Australia.

More than 400 students participated nationwide, reflecting the growing interest among Muslim families in Islamic learning and values.

Since 2006, IFAM has been organising this annual Islamic Quiz for nearly 20 years, with the aim of encouraging children and young kids to learn about Islam, strengthen their connection with their faith, and maintain their Islamic identity while growing up in Australia.

In a society where opportunities for structured Islamic education can be limited, this initiative provides a meaningful platform for students to engage with Islamic knowledge in an enjoyable and motivating environment.

The competition tested participants on a range of topics, including the Qur’an, the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (s), Islamic history, ethics, and fundamental Islamic teachings.

The enthusiasm and dedication displayed by students throughout their preparation and participation highlighted their eagerness to deepen their understanding of Islam.

To recognise excellence, winners were selected in each participating state, with prizes awarded at both national and state levels.

The national first prize is an Umrah ticket, the second prize is a laptop, and the third prize is a cash award. State-level winners will also receive prizes in recognition of their achievements.

All prizes will be presented during the  IFAM annual Convention 2026, to be held on Sat 3 and Sunday 4 October 2026  at Rosehill Gardens near Parramatta NSW, where the winners will be recognised on stage before the wider community.

These awards reflect the importance IFAM places on Islamic education, participation, and personal development.

Parents expressed their appreciation for IFAM’s long-standing commitment to nurturing the next generation.

Many praised the organisation for providing educational opportunities that help children remain connected to their religion and values, while also building confidence, character, and a strong sense of belonging.

The success of the event was made possible through the dedication of volunteers, organisers, sponsors, teachers, and parents who worked tirelessly behind the scenes.

Their collective efforts ensured a well-organised and memorable experience for all participants.

The continued growth of the IFAM Islamic Quiz demonstrates the strong commitment of the Australian Muslim community to investing in the religious and moral development of its youth.
