In an age defined by constant noise and distraction, Al Hidayah Australia 2026 offered something rare and deeply needed, a return to stillness, purpose, and spiritual clarity. Held from Friday 10 to Sunday 12 July 2026 at The Great Aussie Bush Camp, this remarkable gathering brought together hearts and minds from across Australia under the powerful theme “Al Sohba wal Sayr il Allah” meaning spiritual companionship and the journey towards Allah.
Organised by Minhaj ul Quran International Australia, the retreat was far more than a programme of events. It was an immersive experience designed to awaken the soul and realign lives with faith and meaning.
At its core was the concept of Sulook, the spiritual journey towards Allah, where every participant was invited to become a seeker striving for inner purification, moral excellence, and a deeper connection with the Divine.
The presence and guidance of Prof Dr Hussain Mohi ud Din Qadri set the tone for the entire gathering. From the opening moments, participants were encouraged to step away from worldly distractions and embrace reflection, remembrance, and self reform. Faith was presented not as a concept but as a living reality that shapes character, behaviour, and purpose.
Each day unfolded with a harmonious balance of worship, learning, and personal growth. Early mornings began with Tahajjud and Fajr prayers, followed by Dhikr and recitation of the Holy Quran. These moments created an atmosphere of serenity that carried through the day.
Thought provoking lectures, workshops, and discussions addressed key aspects of life including faith, mental wellbeing, family values, and the challenges facing modern Muslim communities.
One of the most impactful sessions was delivered by psychologist Dr Reham Abousennah, who spoke about anxiety in both children and adults. Her insights highlighted the importance of emotional resilience, strong family bonds, and spiritual connection in navigating the pressures of contemporary life.
Complementing this were powerful keynote addresses that emphasised love for the Prophet Muhammad (s) and the importance of embodying his teachings in daily life.
The retreat stood out for its inclusivity and sense of unity. Men, women, youth, and families all found meaningful engagement through dedicated sessions tailored to their needs.
Women focused discussions explored the responsibility of nurturing future generations, while youth sessions encouraged purposeful living and mindful use of time and technology.
Beyond personal development, the gathering also highlighted the importance of service to humanity.
Presentations from Minhaj Welfare Foundation showcased impactful humanitarian efforts and inspired participants to contribute actively to their communities.
Children’s performances, exhibitions, and outdoor activities added a vibrant and enriching dimension to the experience.
A particularly memorable highlight was the online address by Shaykh ul Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir ul Qadri, who spoke about preserving faith and identity in Western societies.
His message emphasised the importance of language, culture, and spiritual environments in shaping strong and confident future generations.
As the retreat came to a close, it left behind more than memories. It instilled a renewed sense of purpose, strengthened faith, and a commitment to continuous self improvement.
Al Hidayah Australia 2026 was not simply an event but a journey one that reminded participants that true success lies in the purification of the heart and the pursuit of closeness to Allah through knowledge, companionship, and sincere devotion.

A beautifully written reflection on the spiritual impact of Al-Hidayah Australia 2026. It captures how sincere companionship, authentic Islamic knowledge, and remembrance of Allah transform hearts and inspire lasting positive change. May Allah accept the efforts of Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, and everyone involved in organizing this blessed retreat, and grant us all steadfastness on the journey towards His closeness. آمین.
