The lush fairways at Brighton Lakes Golf Course in Moorebank are set to host the second annual LMA/Feed the World Australian Muslim Community Golf Day on Saturday 13 December.
Brothers aged 16 and over will line up for Dhuhur on the greens at 1:00 PM, before a 1:30 PM shotgun sends every 4-Ball Ambrose team on their way for an afternoon where faith, fitness and fellowship meet purpose.
Under the theme Chipping In For Change, the day will turn every drive, chip and putt into practical support for Feed the World’s admirable humanitarian work in crisis zones, including Gaza.
Last year’s inaugural tournament – Australia’s first Muslim golf event – drew 80 players and combined with the gala community dinner the same night also at Brighton Lakes – raised $150,000, setting a high bar for impact and unity.

A member of the LMA golf committee in both 2024 and 2025, popular community figure Bill Chmeisse shows his style during last year’s inaugural tournament.
Organisers are confident of a larger field this year, aiming for up to 120 players as momentum grows.
Accessibility and comfort remain central for players.
Brighton Lakes will again close the course to the public, creating a welcoming, culturally confident space for participants.
The Ambrose format keeps play competitive, inclusive and team‑focused, ideal for novices and seasoned golfers alike.
“It’s competitive in the best way, and anchored by a shared intention to help others,” chief organiser Salim Allouche said.
Registration is open now, with team entry $450 and solo players can be placed into a team for a fee of $120.

Each entry covers green fees, a golf cart and the post‑round players’ function beside the course.
Presentations of golf-themed prizes will recognise first, second and third placed teams, with individual honours for Longest Drives and Nearest the Pin and a Hole‑In‑One prize if anyone ‘strikes gold’.
A streamlined fundraising auction during the function will further boost support for families overseas.
AMUST is proud to be the event’s media partner again in 2025.
With huge community interest following last year’s success, places in the golf day are expected to fill quickly.
Prospective players – and sponsors as well – are encouraged to secure their spots via the LMA’s official platforms and arrive early on the day to check in and prepare for Dhuhr.

Avid golfer and sponsor Mohammed Kheir cannot wait for December 13!
Founder of personal injury firm, MK Allan Lawyers, early-bird golf day sponsor and keen golfer Mohammed Kheir, is counting down the days towards the event.
“I am delighted to be able to support the tournament both as a player and a sponsor as it provides the opportunity to turn a great day of golf into real support for families who need it most,” Mr Kheir told AMUST.
“I’m truly excited to play alongside my family and friends, and proud that MK Allan Lawyers can back the LMA and Feed The World in an initiative that unites fitness, fellowship and purpose.”
So bring your best swing – and your best intentions – because on 13 December, every stroke counts.
