Charity Australia International hosted a highly successful fundraising event in Sydney on Friday 14 February 2025 raising over $300,000 graced by prominent Muslim community leaders including Br Usaid Khalil, Br Rab Nawaz, and Sheikh Ahmed Ouf with Br Asher Siddiqui as the host.
Charity Australia presented its annual project progress & financial report highlighting its impactful work last year, especially during the Gaza crisis.
Brother Rab Nawaz briefed the audience about his tour to Palestinian refugee camps at the border of Egypt near Gaza where he was moved by the pitiful and heart-breaking situation of refugees who had fled from Gaza after the worst air strikes by Israel Airforce.
The numbers of refugees were in hundreds of thousands who were living in tents including children, women, and the elderly with families living in those camps with heart-touching stories in which they had lost some of their family members after brutal Israel’s violence.
Brother Rab Nawaz explained that Charity Australia was able to reach out to them providing them with food packets, blankets and water etc. It would not have been possible if the community members had not extended their hands for help and trusted Charity Australia International for the humanitarian aid work,
During the Fund-raising event, Brother Rab Nawaz also highlighted ongoing projects in Pakistan which including successful completion and operation of Multan Hospital which is now partnered with Alkhidmat Foundation, Pakistan for its trustworthy fellowship and determined work force.
Charity Australia was also trying to establish another hospital in Jaffar Abad a far off and deprived area of Baluchistan Pakistan where CAI has funded many water wells and hand pumps in deserts of Cholistan and Tharparkar. These water sources would not only help to humans but also to the animals to quench their thirst.
Brother Rab Nawaz expressed his feelings with great passion and love and praised the generosity of the community members for their continuous support.
