Confidence is not that you can do it better than anyone else. Confidence is knowing that as long as you have faith in Allah, you can do anything you put your mind to.
Confidence is not about being arrogant about your abilities nor disregarding your abilities, but rather thanking Allah for your abilities and honing them to become a better Muslim everyday.
Confidence comes from daily efforts to get closer to Allah.
Confidence comes from knowing the following truths:
- You are a beautiful creation of Allah
- You are judged only and only by Allah, no one else has the right to judge you or reject you. You belong to Allah, not people
- Your physical body is a blessing from Allah, look after it daily. It boosts your imaan and confidence
- Your mental faculties, such as Intuition, Perception, Will, Memory, Imagination, and Reason, are a huge mercy from Allah and they are unique to you.
No one has has the exact same memory as you, or the exact same intuitive abilities as you, or the same will power as you, or the same imagination as you or the same reasoning ability as you. We all perceive things differently. These are signs that Allah has created us as unique beings, each with a purpose to make this world peaceful. That peace must start from within.
Confidence comes from having a healthy self-esteem. It is about how you feel about yourself, how much you respect yourself, how much you care about yourself, and how grateful you feel about your life.
Acknowledge your self-worth and know that your confidence to handle daily life comes from being kind to yourself and grateful to Allah that you are one of a kind . There is no one else like you in all that Allah has created. Allah has created each one of us with unique qualities. We are neither above nor beneath another. Collectively, we humans have a single purpose – worship Allah and to live a life of righteousness and piety.
