Glenhaven Masjid is inviting the Muslim community and broader public to join their upcoming fundraising dinner to help bring their dream of establishing a local Masjid closer to reality. The construction fundraising dinner will take place on Sunday 5 March at 5:30 pm at Waterview, Sydney Olympic Park. Tickets are $100 per person and can be booked by contacting the provided phone numbers.
The Hills District Muslim Society (HDMS) have been fighting for the construction of a Masjid in the Hills District for a long time, and they are grateful to announce that they have received the Development Approval (DA) to proceed with the construction. The vision for this Masjid is to create a spiritual heart for the Muslims and wider community within the Hills District, North Western Sydney.
As mentioned in a hadith, “Whoever builds a Masjid for Allah, Allah will build for them a similar house in Paradise” (Bukhari & Muslim). Therefore, the construction of this Masjid is not just a dream of the HDMS but a righteous deed with a promise of reward from Allah.
The fundraising dinner will be a blessed event where the Muslim community and wider public can come together to support the construction of the Masjid.
HDMS has set up an account for donations and encourages the public to donate towards the construction of the Masjid. The account name is Hills Aqwaf, and the BSB is 062347, with account number 1072 5040.
For more information and tickets to the fundraising dinner, interested individuals can contact Br Kamal at 0431 126 494, Br Khalid at 0410 542 543, or Sr Fatima at 0423 177 742.
Overall, the construction of this Masjid will not only benefit the local Muslim community but will also provide a space for the wider community to learn about Islam and build bridges between different communities.
