The houseboat would remain
anchored in the lake,
Close to the banyan tree standing
on the foreshore,
As the ferry boat loaded with people
would move back and forth between
the foreground and the distant shore,
That remains dressed in green from
the wild grass, trees and shrubs,
As the mighty branch of the banyan
tree would spread its arms over the
body of the lake.
