In an interview in Johannesburg with Karen Jayes of Cage Africa, Mullah Abdul Salam Zaeef, a founding member of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and a former Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan has accused foreign intelligence agencies for perpetrating a number of bombings against civilian targets to keep Afghanistan destabilised.

He said that since the US invasion and occupation of Afghanistan in 2001, the country’s media landscape, with the help of US funding, has seen the establishment of plethora of TV channels, radio stations and newspapers, which reinforces an aggressive neo-liberal agenda.
