Tabish Ahmad, alumnus of the 2014 Chemical Engineering batch of ZHCET, Aligarh Muslim University has been appointed as the Chief Research & Development (R&D) Officer, a C-suite executive role at TrendPac, NSW, one of Australia’s fastest-growing and most innovative manufacturers in the personal care, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals space.
Trendpac is an award winning Australian owned manufacturer of household and personal care liquid products, designing and delivering packaged formulations for a circular economy.
TrendPac supplies retail giants of Australia and New Zealand including Coles, Woolworths, and Bunnings, and is known for driving sustainable product innovation.
In this role, Tabish leads TrendPac’s global innovation and R&D strategy at the highest level making him one of the youngest global C-suite R&D executives, and likely the youngest first Indian-origin scientific leader to head such a position across India, the Middle East, and Australia.
Before this role, he was serving as the Head of Research & Development (R&D) at Pental, DuluxGroup, Australia, in household Cleaning Products portfolio across Australia and New Zealand.
Previously, he was recognised as the youngest recipient of the Australian Prime Minister’s Distinguished Global Talent Award for my contributions to nanotechnology and following earlier impactful research in corrosion science and electrochemistry at Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Abu Dhabi.
He attributes this achievement, in no small part, to the academic and cultural foundation that AMU provided for him and the values, mentorship, and environment at AMU that played a central role in shaping his character, scientific curiosity, and leadership abilities.
“This milestone is truly a tribute to AMU’s tradition of nurturing global thought leaders and scientific pioneers,” He said.
Tabish Ahmad the son of Late Prof Dr Gahyoorul Haq (Anaesthesia, JNMC), grandson of Late Prof Dr Zahoorul Haq (Arabic), and grandson of Mr Ahmad Hasan, former Minister of Health & Education and Leader of the Opposition in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council.
“InshaAllah, I am planning again a delegation-level visit to AMU by year’s end or start of next year to explore possibilities for joint R&D collaboration, innovation exchange, and mentorship programs that benefit AMU’s current and future scholars,” Tabish said.
