“How should ye not fight for the cause of Allah and of the feeble among men and of the women and the children who are crying: Our Lord! Bring us forth from out this town of which the people are oppressors! Oh, give us from thy presence some protecting friend! Oh, give us from Thy presence some defender.” (Quran 4:75)
The Palestinians in general and currently those in Gaza, men, women and children are being slaughtered mercilessly on a daily basis by a brutal terrorist state intoxicated by its power with no accountability to anyone getting away with murder while the world watches in vain.
The call of the helpless people of Gaza to save them from this onslaught and extreme human misery is falling on deaf ears of all global actors championing the international order of human rights including powerful Western countries, Muslim states and adversaries of the West namely Russia and China.
The desperate call by the Palestinians, men, women and children to save them from their oppressors in order to defend them has failed to produce any credible, powerful and effective defenders so far, that demonstrates the moral bankruptcy of the international moral order.
Surely the Quranic injunction of the duty to fight against the oppressor in defence of the oppressed is being completely ignored by the international community in general and the Muslim Ummah in particular with no mechanism to call out and stop the atrocities being committed by the Israeli war machine.
While the United Nations, international human rights organisations, experts of international law, International Court of Justice (ICJ) International Criminal Court (ICC) have all given their verdicts against the state of Israel for its nature of apartheid, settler colonialism, occupation of Palestinian Territories, daily oppression and torture of the Palestinian population and now genocide, they have all failed to enforce these laws, resolutions and recommendations.
On Friday 19 July 2024 the International Court of Justice based in The Hague gave its Advisory Opinion in respect of the Legal Consequences arising from the Policies and Practices of Israel in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem stating, “All States are under an obligation not to recognize as legal the situation arising from the unlawful presence of the State of Israel in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and not to render aid or assistance in maintaining the situation created by the continued presence of the State of Israel in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. […] This illegality relates to the entirety of the Palestinian territory occupied by Israel in 1967.”
Israel has completely ignored all aspects of international laws and showed no respect to international opinion further increasing its settler colonial activity in occupied territories, eventually to annex these with its biblical claims of Greater Israel. The facade of two state solution has been exposed where the state of Palestine, although recognised by a large number of states has become meaningless and a mirage.

The climax of the hypocrisy and double standards was dramatised during the last week of July where the confirmed war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the joint session of the US Congress receiving multiple standing ovations. I hereby quote (dated Thursday 25 July) an American himself, John V Whitbeck who felt ashamed of being an American while witnessing this theatrics:

Anyone watching this obscene spectacle could only conclude that the United States of America has ceased to be a respectable independent country and is now, as, indeed, it has been for many years already, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the State of Israel, with shared values which are rightfully rejected by the overwhelming majority of mankind.
By their venality, cowardice, moral bankruptcy and near-treason, the American political class is flushing a once great country down history’s toilet, and the Global West, if it does not soon liberate itself from domination by the Israeli-American Empire, risks a similar fate.”
