Several high schools have recently joined Brothers in Need, an Australian Muslim charity, in the Soup Kitchen to cook meals for the needy.
Malek Fahd Islamic School Beaumont Hills, Punchbowl Boys’ High School and Western Grammar High School are just some of the schools who have recently joined the Brothers in Need team to cook food for the needy.
“I’ve been so impressed with the enthusiasm and maturity of these students as they worked together to cook 120 hot meals and 120 desserts for refugees, asylum seekers and the homeless community….I think that it’s been nice for them to do something for others and feel like they’re truly helping, because they really are!…They’re helping Brothers in Need to achieve their mission, which is to transform Australian communities – one life at a time,” says, Dahlia, a staff member.
