Ragged clouds from distant storms
parade across the sky
canola crops pave the fields with gold,
it is spring, and hope is renewed.
Magpies swoop with extra vigour,
blue wrens prance before car mirrors
excited by their own image,
nature decks the trees with colour
crimson, purple and yellow.
It all happens as a matter of course
as with humanity, which brightens.
Reg Naulty.
