Continuing its commitment to empowering young Muslims through informed career guidance and civic engagement, the Australian Community Development Program (ACDP) Victoria marked another important milestone with its first-ever school incursion at Al Siraat College.

The interactive session, delivered to Year 12 students on 12 May introduced participants to the diverse career opportunities available within Australia’s public sector, highlighting pathways in government, policing, justice, emergency services, and community leadership.

More importantly, the program encouraged students to view public service not merely as a profession, but as a meaningful avenue to positively contribute to society while upholding strong personal values.

The presentation generated enthusiastic participation from students and staff alike, with discussions centered on leadership, public responsibility, ethical service, and the growing need for greater representation of Australian Muslims across public institutions.

College leadership expressed their appreciation for the initiative, noting the relevance of the session in helping students broaden their career perspectives at a pivotal stage of their educational journey. Constructive discussions also took place regarding future collaborations and opportunities to expand the program’s reach across additional year levels.

Building on the success of this inaugural visit, ACDP Victoria will return to Al Siraat College on 3 August 2026, where the focus will shift to inspiring Year 8 and Year 9 students to begin exploring future career pathways from an early age, InshaAllah.

The success of the program was made possible through the dedication of ACDP’s volunteer team. Special recognition is extended to Brother Azam, whose professional presentation setup and interactive display created a highly engaging learning environment and attracted considerable interest from both students and college staff.

Appreciation is also extended to Brother Shoeb for designing the program’s informational flyers, incorporating QR-enabled resources, and facilitating the interactive Slido quiz, which encouraged excellent student participation throughout the session.

As ACDP Victoria continues to strengthen partnerships with educational institutions across the state, initiatives such as these reflect the organisation’s broader vision of equipping the next generation with knowledge, confidence, and purpose as they prepare to become future leaders and contributors to Australian society.
