On Wednesday 4 March, residents and their families gathered at Aman Aged Care in Bankstown, as the facility hosted its first Ramadan Iftar.
The evening brought together Aman Care residents, family members and invited guests including Aman Secretary Khal Asfour and board members Khaled Kamalmaz and Adela Zhang, along with Aman and Lebanese Muslim Association (LMA) staff.
The program began with a recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Sheikh Jamal Ud-Din El-Kiki, setting a reflective tone before guests gathered to break their fast together.

The event marked an important milestone for the newly opened aged care facility, creating a space where residents and families could share the spirit of Ramadan within their own community.
“It was very special to see our residents and their families come together in such a warm and spiritual atmosphere,” said Aman board member Khaled Kamalmaz.
“Ramadan is about compassion, family and community, and tonight reflected those values beautifully within our Aman home.”
