The Islamic Circle of Malaysia (ICM) successfully hosted its Annual Convention on Sunday 18 January 2026 at the auditorium of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Kuala Lumpur bringing together community leaders, scholars, activists, and attendees from across Malaysia and abroad.
This year’s convention cantered on the theme “The Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (s)” exploring the Prophetic model as a timeless guide for personal conduct, leadership, and community development.
International speakers Delivered Inspiring Insights related to the theme of the conference. The conference featured a distinguished line-up of international and local speakers from reputed Islamic organisations.
Speakers addressed various dimensions of the Seerah, linking Prophetic wisdom to modern-day challenges facing Muslim communities, importance of individual’s character development, playing our positive role in the society and looking after the rights of other people.
Islamic Forum for Australian Muslims (IFAM) sent its delegation consisting of Mr Usaid Khalil and Mr Rab Nawaz in order to participate at this important gathering.
Mr Khalil addressed the challenges of maintaining unity in an increasingly polarised world.
Drawing from the Qur’anic command to hold firmly to the rope of Allah, he discussed strategies for strengthening cohesion within the Muslim community and encouraged attendees to prioritise shared values over differences.
Mr Nawaz delivered a powerful and inspiring session centred on the spirit of serving humanity.
He showcased the ongoing humanitarian efforts of IFAM and Charity Australia International (CAI) highlighting their commitment to compassion, welfare, and practical service in accordance with the Prophetic example.
Mr Nawaz emphasised how community‑driven initiatives continue to uplift vulnerable populations across the globe while outlining CAI’s contributions to various regions in crisis—whether supporting civilians in Gaza, assisting Rohingya Muslims facing severe persecution in Myanmar, or offering relief amid internal conflict in Sudan.
He also noted IFAM’s response to major natural disasters—floods, earthquakes, and other calamities—where the organization stepped forward to deliver timely humanitarian aid.
The support provided after the tragic New Zealand mosque massacre was another example of IFAM and CAI commitment, as they mobilised to provide essential services to victims and their families.
Additionally Mr Nawaz highlighted the Multan Hospital project—a state‑of‑the‑art medical facility in Pakistan that continues to offer high‑quality and affordable healthcare to the local population.
The convention attracted significant participation from students, professionals, families, and youth groups. Attendees praised the event for its depth, organisation, and relevance to current community issues.
ICM organisers expressed gratitude to the volunteers whose dedication ensured a smooth and successful program, noting that their efforts embodied the very spirit of the Prophetic example being studied.
As the convention concluded, participants reflected on the importance of incorporating the lessons of the Seerah into everyday life.
The event reinforced the need for personal transformation, collective unity, and service to society—principles deeply rooted in the life of Prophet Muhammad (s).
ICM announced plans to expand its future events and continue fostering knowledge-driven, value‑cantered community development across Malaysia.
