Multicultural Mailer Inc proudly hosted two remarkable educational events in 2025 — the STEM for a Sustainable Future Workshop in Queensland and STEAM Fest 2025 in Victoria — both designed to spark innovation and curiosity among young learners.
STEM for a sustainable future – Queensland
Held on Tuesday 30 September 2025 at 4 Ponderosa Street, Hillcrest, and supported by Logan City Council, the workshop gathered 40 students aged 12–17 from diverse backgrounds including India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Indonesia
Participants engaged in hands-on challenges such as bridge-building, math quizzes, and VR driving simulations, linking STEM learning to real-world applications.
The event promoted teamwork, creativity, and cultural connection — achieving its goal of inspiring youth toward science and technology careers.

The day began with an engaging introduction to STEM’s role in building a sustainable future, followed by a series of interactive challenges designed to promote creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving. Activities included a Bridge-Building Challenge, where students tested their engineering designs using clay and spaghetti; a Mathematics Quiz that rewarded sharp minds with prizes; and a hands-on Virtual Reality and Driving Simulation session connecting technology with real-world experiences.

The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as students collaborated across cultural lines, demonstrating impressive curiosity and innovation. Teachers and volunteers noted the event’s success in blending education with enjoyment.
Beyond technical learning, the workshop fostered intercultural understanding and friendships among participants — a true reflection of Queensland’s vibrant multicultural community.
The day concluded with smiles and shared appreciation as participants, parents, and guests thanked Multicultural Mailer and Logan City Council for creating such an empowering educational experience.
Notably, 54% of attendees were male and 46% female, ensuring a strong gender balance and inclusivity across the board.
Victoria: STEAM Fest 2025 – A celebration of creativity and discovery
Meanwhile, on Saturday 16 August 2025, Victoria’s Hallam Senior Citizens Centre came alive during STEAM Fest 2025, transforming into a hub of creativity and discovery. This festival showcased how science and art intersect to drive innovation.

Highlights included a Math Competition, live science experiments, a Robotics Exhibition presented by Casey Tech School, and inspiring talks from educators and community leaders.
Children were thrilled to try hands-on coding activities, programming mini robots to perform tasks — for many, it was their first introduction to robotics and automation.
Distinguished guests such as Mayor Cr Stefan Kooman, Deputy Mayor Cr Melinda Ambross, and Cr Lynette Pereira lent strong civic support, while experts including Dr Emran Amin, Jannat Maqbool, and Dr Nazmul Alam (CSIRO) shared insights into science, technology, and research.
The event concluded with an awards ceremony, recognising young achievers and encouraging their continued exploration of STEAM fields.
Bridging states, inspiring futures
Together, these twin events in QLD and VIC illustrated Multicultural Mailer’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment, education, and inclusion. By blending fun with learning and science with creativity, both programs succeeded in sparking curiosity and confidence among Australia’s next generation of innovators.
