Good manners: Better than roses!

When I was a child, I was very fond of roses.  I enjoyed it’s beauty, its unselfish service to everyone and its sense of purity. 

I had one rose plant beside my pond that used to give me joy every day if it was alive, but then some sadness used to envelope me when it was not there.  The lesson I learned that rose was good for temporary benefits but not for everlasting goodness.

Then when I started to grow up, I saw some negatives in the rose, such as it is surrounded by thorns and after a while it dies and becomes rotten.  Once it is dead most people don’t remember it, they do not look at it to cool their eyes, and they avoid it because it has no longer something to give.

With this thought I changed my wish and I wanted to be something better than a rose which will never die, will be immortal, and it will continue benefitting people forever, so, my hardest job was to find out what was that magic thing that I wanted better than a rose?

Then I studied Quran and Hadith, and I found out that immortal thing is Islamic good manners.  It stays with us when we are alive, but when we are dead it never dies.

Our manners stay imprinted in human minds generation after generation, and that Islamic manners also will be weighed on the divine scale on the day of Judgment and it will make our right-hand side scale heavier to reach us to everlasting happy place in Paradise.

I was so happy that I found my gold mine.

Islamic manners are the most beautiful and enjoyable things, for example, a loving heart and a smiling face according to the teaching of Islamic manner can win hearts and can continuously earn joys and happiness in us.

In the family or in the society we see that no-one likes a rude person, a cruel person, or a selfish person.  We should ask why.

The answer is they are not belonging to Islamic best manners.  Allah loves Islamic manners, His Messenger loves Islamic manner amongst his followers, the angels love Islamic manners in us and as a result the good humans, they also love our good Islamic manners.

Therefore, Islamic manner is much better than beautiful roses and more far reaching beneficial than the roses.  Islamic manner is immortal and with it we can qualify for Paradise.

So, I suggest for myself and all other Muslims that let us learn and practice Islamic manners for our best in this life, and in the next life.
