Returning to Sydney after performing Umrah in January 2025, 32-year-old lawyer Mohammed Kheir felt the pilgrimage’s catalytic effect -a life-changing reset that sharpened his purpose to serve with integrity and compassion in the specialist field of personal injury law.
A member of the Kheir family (who are widely respected in the community for their legal acumen and service), Mohammed is forging his own path as Principal of MK Allan Lawyers – a specialist firm in personal injury and compensation law.
Mr Kheir completed his legal studies part-time in Sydney while working at Kheir Lawyers full-time, calling it “the best grounding a young lawyer could have.”
He credits his mentors there – “pillars of the community known for their charity” – and especially his cousin, Kaled Kheir (who is pictured with Mohammed in the feature image), for shaping his understanding of personal injury law.
Always set on specialising in that field, Mohammed later moved to Brydens Lawyers, where he became a team leader.
In the past 12 months, he has launched MK Allan Lawyers – “Allan” to honour his father – and he hasn’t looked back.
“I’m old school with old school values,” he says.
“That’s the Kheir way: work diligently, be straightforward with people and give back.”

“Old school” values….Mohammed Kheir.
Family sits at the heart of his motivation.
Mohammed and his wife, Sarah, are expecting their second child, and he speaks fondly of his young daughter Sophia, who shares the same name as the aunt of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (s).
Recalling this year’s Umrah, he says, “it was the most uplifting experience,” adding, “since returning, everything’s been going really well, Alhamdulillah.”
For Mohammed, personal injury law is where technical skill meets human care.
“You encounter people at their lowest ebb….and sometimes you’re their only hope.”
“Helping them get back on their feet is deeply satisfying,” he explains.
Many clients, Muslim and non-Muslim alike, remain friends long after their cases are resolved – something he views as a quiet form of da’wah through character and consistency.
“People respect values,” he points out, “and they can tell when you truly have their back.”
True to that community-first ethos, Mohammed is already a confirmed sponsor of this year’s LMA/Feed The World Charity Golf Day at Brighton Lakes on Saturday, 13 December.

Mohammed Kheir is a keen golfer and is also a sponsor of this year’s LMA/Feed The World Charity Golf Day.
“I love the game of golf and it’s a great way to support a worthy cause while keeping MK Allan Lawyers connected to the community.”
Never one to seek the limelight and refreshingly humble about his success, he reiterates the source: “It’s all from Allah.”
Grounded by faith and his family’s “old school” ethic, Mohammed Kheir keeps his focus simple: serve clients well, give back and let the work speak for itself.
