The Times of Israel’s coverage of Zohran Mamdani’s commanding lead in the New York City mayoral race on 31 July reads less as objective reporting and more as a warning from a nervous political establishment.

The American pro Zionist newsletter, Mosaic on August 4 recalls — with an air of triumph — how the Zionist lobby in the UK orchestrated Jeremy Corbyn’s political demise, deploying emotional blackmail and a media blitz to manufacture an “existential threat” narrative.

The playbook is now being proposed for New York: mounting cross-denominational campaigns to isolate and demonise Mamdani. This is not a genuine response to anti-Semitism—this is about enforcing political orthodoxy.

Gaza.

Mamdani, like Corbyn before him, is not a “threat” due to anti-Semitism, but because he is principled, popular, and unwilling to toe the Zionist line. ] \

The polling is now unambiguous. Mamdani leads by double digits, including among Jewish voters—43% overall, and an extraordinary 67% among those aged 18–44. This younger generation rejects the recycled propaganda.

New data reveal: “Zohran Mamdani leads among Jewish voters by a 17-point margin…jumping to 67% for those aged 18–44”. The demand for principled, anti-war, and pro-justice leadership is now increasingly mainstream—even within communities once seen as reliable for the status quo.

Analyses from Mosaic recall — with an air of triumph — how the Zionist lobby in the UK orchestrated Jeremy Corbyn’s political demise, deploying emotional blackmail and a media blitz to manufacture an “existential threat” narrative.

However Jeremy Corbyn’s new party has already had 700,000 people sign up.

But the ground is shifting. Analyst Sami Hamdi points out that anti-Zionist activism is now “convincing elected representatives that Zionism is a political liability… I lost my seat because I supported Zionism”. Political parties, especially in the West, ignore this emerging constituency at their own risk.

The message echoes in Australia. The march of tens of thousands across the Sydney Harbour Bridge in solidarity with Gaza was no fringe gathering.

Muslims, Christians, Jews, and secular Australians united to demand justice and an end to complicity in Israel’s crimes. Attempts to smear these advocates as anti-Semites are failing.

More than 60 per cent of Australians want tougher government measures to stop Israel’s military offensive in Gaza

Rebutting Australian Pro-Zionist Propaganda.

Yet, just as voices for justice grow louder, parts of the Australian media double down on denial and distortion.

Sky News hosts deride reports of famine and mass civilian deaths as “Hamas propaganda” or “exaggerations” from supposedly unreliable Gaza sources, arguing instead that the real problem is anti-Israel protestors in Australia.

The Australian, meanwhile, persists in presenting Israeli actions as self-defence while erasing Palestinian reality and branding calls for accountability as antisemitic or divisive.

Multiple academic and independent analyses confirm what so many Australians intuitively know: these major outlets overwhelmingly project the Israeli narrative while marginalising both Palestinian experiences and growing calls for justice.

A growing movement for Justice

Whether in New York with Mamdani, in London with Corbyn, or on Australia’s streets, the playbook of accusation, isolation, and destruction is faltering.

The new reality resounds young Jews are rejecting weaponised Zionism, Muslims and Christians are forging alliances, and secular and Indigenous activists are standing in principled solidarity.

The movement for justice is stronger than ever — Australia is not fooled, and neither is the world.

The more the establishment overreaches — trying to silence dissent in parliaments, media, and the public square — the more it reveals its own weakness. The tide is turning.

Justice, evidence, and unity are on the march from New York to Sydney.

And the bridge is full.
