The Shahid Afridi Foundation Australia (SAF) embarked on an ambitious six-city fundraising tour to provide educational support for over 1,000 children in Pakistan.
Following the success of last year’s campaign, which featured renowned sports icons such as Mr Shahid Afridi (Former Pakistan Cricket Captain), Mr Jahangir Khan (Legendary Squash Player), and the Pakistan cricket team, SAF has once again received overwhelming support from the Australian community for its Education, Water, and Flood Relief projects.

The 2025 Journey of Hope tour commenced in Sydney on 14 February 2025, at Mercure Hotel Liverpool. The evening was an inspiring gathering filled with unity and a shared commitment to ensuring access to education for underprivileged children.
The event was graced by notable supporters from various backgrounds, emphasising the widespread dedication to this noble cause. Senator David Shoebridge, the Chief Guest, praised SAF’s efforts and urged attendees to extend their support.
Pakistan Consul General, Mr Qamar Zaman, acknowledged the significance of the initiative, while Member of Parliament, Mr Nathan Hagarty MP, reaffirmed his backing for the foundation’s mission.

To raise funds, exclusive sports memorabilia signed by legendary athletes were auctioned, adding excitement to the evening. The night concluded on a high note with a side-splitting stand-up comedy performance by Nazeem Hussain, leaving the audience entertained and motivated to support the cause further.

Attendees expressed their appreciation for the well-organised event, the compelling stories shared, and the lively atmosphere. Their enthusiasm and generosity continue to drive this meaningful initiative forward.
