Multicultural Family Fun Day: Celebrating diversity in the great outdoors
On Saturday 7 December 2024 the picturesque Woodstock Farm in Tamborine, became a melting pot of cultures and ages as more than 40 participants of diverse background gathered for a day of fun, food, and family bonding.

The event’s activities, ranging from tree planting and ring toss to soccer challenges and tug-of-war, provided enjoyment for all ages, from toddlers to grandparents.

The delightful experience of petting farm animals was a highlight, especially for the children, adding an educational twist to the day’s excitement.

Delicious, culturally diverse food further enriched the experience, making the gathering a true celebration of multiculturalism.

Participants left with a sense of belonging and appreciation for the warm, inclusive environment fostered by Multicultural Mailer Inc.

This successful event was supported by the Queensland Government and brought to life by dedicated volunteers and staff.

MFL Art & Craft Workshop: A Canvas for community connection

Held on Tuesday 14 January at Hillcrest, the MFL Art & Craft Workshop transformed a simple gathering into a vibrant celebration of creativity and cultural exchange.

Families from various backgrounds came together to explore their artistic talents through painting, jewelry-making, and other crafts.

The event was particularly impactful for mothers and children, who enjoyed quality time together while engaging in creative expression.

The supportive and family-friendly environment made the workshop a cherished experience for all. A delicious lunch capped off the day, reinforcing the sense of community and mutual appreciation.

Participants praised the workshop as a unique opportunity to connect with others while exploring new skills, all made possible by the Safe and Diverse Communities grant program.
