The Lebanese Muslim Association (LMA) is proud to be a supporter of this year’s Multicultural Eid Festival & Fair (MEFF) at the Fairfield Showground to be held on Sunday 28 April 2024.

MEFF is Australia’s longest-running Multicultural Eid Festival and Fair and it is also the biggest event of its kind.

Commencing from humble beginnings in 1985 when the first MEFF was held in the playground of a local primary school, 2024 marks 39 years of this much-anticipated community event, which each and every year welcomes tens of thousands of visitors from close to 40 different communities.

MEFF is a huge family day – with free admission and free parking –  and literally hundreds of exhibitions and food stalls, offering cuisines from all corners of the globe.

As Australia’s oldest not-for-profit Muslim organisation, the LMA is delighted to be a supporter of this year’s MEFF, not only through its flagship Lakemba Mosque but also OBA Cabramatta Mosque (which is located within the Fairfield Local Government Area) and Young Mosque.

LMA Vice President Raed Halabi.

LMA vice president Raed (Roy) Halabi told AMUST: “The LMA is delighted to put its support behind MEFF, which has been an iconic event for the Sydney Muslim community for many years and continues to get bigger and better.”

“MEFF is a wonderful opportunity for family and friends to gather and celebrate Eid and the Australian MEFF Consortium deserves a lot of credit for the hard work they put in every year to make the day the runaway success it invariably is.”
