Social media is becoming a worldwide problem in that it is impacting kids and teenagers.
They spend hours on social media which impacts their physical and mental wellbeing.
Unfortunately an average screen time for kids and teens on social media are for around 3 to 18 hours a day.
This is why I believe that social media has impacted kids’ mental and physical appearance since it can contribute to increased anxiety levels, ruins sleep and causes kids daily routine to change dramatically and impacts daily routines.
Instead of socialising, playing sports, or talking with family, kids spend hours on their phones watching reels or texting.
This can lead to less exercise and poor time management. Overall these changes can make children feel unhappy and stressed which can cause behaviour change, cyberbullying and being afraid from being left out.
