The Lebanese Muslim Association’s 2025 Future Path Expo attracted more than 1,000 students, jobseekers and professionals to the Whitlam Leisure Centre in Liverpool on Wednesday 13 August for a day of career exploration and professional development.
Marking its first year as a free public event, the Expo saw significant attendance from nearby Local Government Areas including Liverpool and Bankstown, with the 800 students and other participants engaging with over 50 interactive stalls, career workshops and networking opportunities.
The popular annual event also featured lighthearted activities including games, photo opportunities and a sausage sizzle.

Liverpool Mayor Ned Mannoun and Chamber of Commerce President Michael Azzi attended as guest speakers, highlighting the Expo’s importance in facilitating employment pathways – particularly through major infrastructure projects such as Western Sydney Airport.
In their addresses, the leaders emphasised the event’s role in providing practical guidance and building confidence among young attendees, including newly arrived migrants and refugees.
With recent data indicating over 130,000 young people in South Western Sydney lack formal qualifications or work experience, the Expo serves a critical function in connecting emerging talent with career opportunities.

“The goal of the Expo is for young people – students and other jobseekers – to connect with real professionals, ask questions and walk away feeling inspired,” LMA representative and chief Expo organiser Lynda Kartout told AMUST.
“It’s about helping people take that first confident step into their future.”
The LMA acknowledged the contributions during the record-breaking event of its Vice President Raed Halabi (who served as MC) and commended staff and volunteers for their hard work.
The Association also expressed gratitude to its partners including proud supporter The Department of Home Affairs, Lurnea High School, barbecue sponsor Fettayleh Smallgoods, media partner AMUST and participating businesses and educational institutions for their support in delivering such a highly successful community initiative.

A record attendance was a just reward for the LMA team who spent months planning the Expo.
