Tu Le, the Labor candidate for the federal seat of Fowler officially launched her campaign on Friday 21 February 2025 at Crystal Palace Function Centre in Canley Heights with over 540 supporters in attendance, with many from across the diverse community organisations and groups.
The event was also attended by special guest The Hon Tony Burke MP, Minister for Home Affairs, the Arts, Cyber Security, Immigration and Multicultural Affairs, former Member for Fowler, Chris Hayes, and other neighbouring Federal, State and local
council representatives.
Fowler covers parts of Liverpool and Fairfield, and is home to over 100,000 voters. An incredibly diverse community, Fowler deserves a strong, passionate and active representative with a voice in Government.

Cheaper childcare, cheaper medicines and the Liverpool Medicare Urgent Care Clinic are already making a difference for local residents and Tu Le is determined to deliver even more.
So determined in fact that, despite being in her final trimester of pregnancy, she is out and about meeting and hearing from local residents about their hopes and concerns.
A community legal advocate and local mum, Tu is from Mount Pritchard where she is raising her young family.
The daughter of Vietnamese refugees, Tu grew up in South West Sydney and attended local public schools.
Passionate about making a difference, she studied law at Macquarie University, hoping to fight for a better future for western Sydney.
Tu has spent her career fighting for vulnerable people, most recently through her work at Marrickville Legal Centre providing free legal support to disadvantaged Australians in the Inner-West and Western Sydney, leading efforts to protect exploited migrant workers, and helping those caught in rental and housing disputes.

Tu Le, Labor’s Candidate for Fowler said:
“I’ve spent my life standing up for our community and I’ll do the same in Canberra.”
“I’m a working mum with a mortgage and our second baby is about to arrive. In my conversations with people in this community that I’ve known for a long time and those I’m meeting for the first time; the common challenge is the cost of living.”
“Labor’s help in meeting these challenges through important initiatives including a tax cut for every taxpayer, cheaper childcare, cheaper medicines, record investments in Medicare and bulk billing and fee free TAFE matter.”
“As part of the Albanese Labor Government, I will fight for more services, more support for families and better local infrastructure. Fowler deserves a strong voice in Government.”
