As previously reported in AMUST, the 7th Annual Australian Islamic Schooling Conference (AAISC7), titled Islamic Worldview: Renewing Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment, will be held in Brisbane on the weekend of 17-18 August 2024.

Organised by the Centre of Islamic Thought and Education (CITE) at the University of South Australia in collaboration with the Islamic Schools Association of Australia (ISAA), the conference is dedicated to exploring, discussing and sharing academic research, practical insights and school-based examples related to all aspects of Islamic schooling.

Each year, the conference venue rotates between states and in August 2023, nearly 400 school leaders, teachers and educators gathered at Minaret College in Springvale, Melbourne.

This year, the event will be held at the Islamic College of Brisbane in Karawatha.

Over the two days, conference delegates will have the chance to listen to thought-provoking presentations from academics, scholars, school leaders, teachers and policymakers.

The conference will feature both international and Australian keynote speakers: Dr Samir Mahmoud (Academic Director of Usul Academy); Dr Farah Ahmed (Leverhulme Early Career Research Fellow at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge); Dr Claire Alkouatli (Lecturer with the Centre for Islamic Thought and Education, UNISA) and Associate Professor Nadeem Memon (Senior Research Fellow and Program Director for Islamic Education at CITE, UNISA).

Additionally, the conference boasts a diverse line-up of highly qualified presenters from various fields, who will provide attendees with a wide variety of perspectives and insights.

The event will offer an invaluable opportunity for networking, professional development and the exchange of ideas to enhance Islamic education in Australia.

A community-led, purpose-driven business for good that delivers education to Muslims all over Australia, Invictus Solutions has recently announced its continued support as a Platinum Exhibitor for this prestigious event.

The organisation’s educational workshops, which address critical real-life issues faced by students, are in increasing demand.

“Invictus Solutions is committed to collaborating with educational institutions to create nurturing environments that support the holistic development of students,” Mr Mousad told AMUST.

“We are exceptionally proud of our achievements over the past few years and will continue striving to make a positive impact in the Muslim community and the education sector.”

“When the opportunity arose for Invictus Solutions to become a Platinum Exhibitor of the Conference last year, I really jumped at the chance.”

“For me to support the event similarly in 2024 was a ‘no-brainer’ as this is the kind of event that I am proud to have my company’s name associated with.”

  • The Conference’s other Platinum Exhibitor this year is ViewSonic, a leading global visual solutions provider.
  • Gold Exhibitors are Compass (an all-in-one platform for schools), the Islamic Schools Association of Australia and the Islamic Society of South Australia, while gracious host the Islamic College of Brisbane is the event’s very generous partner.
