Love has no boundaries. Human love can reach other humans at any distance.
Allah placed love in human minds, and with it they feel for one another, cry for one another and smile for one another in sorrow or in happiness. They can share their sad or happy feelings with one another whenever as needed.
Love binds people’s hearts, and hate does the opposite. Despite some hate crimes in this world, eventually humans prefer love and love always wins.
15 March 2019 was a tragic day for the Christchurch Muslim community, but it had touched uncountable hearts in this world. It had touched our neighbouring country Australia so much.
The flow of love from Australia touched our hearts greatly, and it has not stopped. This love sharing motivates us to continue loving one another as humans, and to defeat the hate with love.
It is also important that we unite in love, and we try together for a peaceful world. Love with fairness does not hurt anyone, rather everyone with it becomes winner.
Recently, such a loving gesture from Australian Federal Police has made us cry again with joy at a function held in Christchurch on Wednesday 20 September 2023.
Australian Federal Police Commissioner, Mr Reece Kershaw travelled to Christchurch with a team of Australian Federal Police to honour the Christchurch Muslim Community and local emergency.
They came to present beautiful Mosaics as a token of love, support, and unity. He was accompanied by other Police officers namely, Mrs Anisa Sharif, Mr Spiros Drossos, and Sgt Trudi Beattie.
New Zealand Police Deputy Commissioner Mr Wallace Haumaha was present in the event along with Muslim community leaders, Hon deputy mayor and former Christchurch mayor, and affected families.
This wonderful event was organised by Australian Federal Police and New Zealand Police to pay tribute to the victims of the Christchurch Massacre and to honour those who lost their lives.
The beautiful Mosaic was made with selfless hours of work by numerous loving people. It was not just an artwork, but it was a heart work because it made the audience emotional.
As a survivor who lost his dear wife on 15 March Massacre, the event brought the memory as well as the love I received from other compassionate people.
My role in the event was mixed with tears and joy as well. The entire event was very moving with a sense of unity with human loves.
The Christchurch Muslim Community warmly welcomed love from Australia and appreciates the love and support that they have been receiving.
Good on you, Australian Federal Police and Australia.
