Othman Bin Affan (OBA) mosque at Cabramatta in western Sydney has a huge family fun day planned for Sunday 22 January when an Oztag gala day has been scheduled.
Australis Park at 2069 Australis Ave, Wattle Grove will be the venue for the event and registrations are now being called for, for each of the four separate Oztag competitions: Under 15 boys; Under 15 girls; 15 and over men and 15 and over women.
Winners of the two ‘senior’ competitions will receive $500, while $300 will be the first prize for the two ‘junior’ tournaments.
The Registration Fee is $130 to nominate a full team (saving money if naming more than eight players) while individual players may also register and they will be placed into a team in the appropriate competition, for a registration fee of $15 per player.
The day will ‘kick off’ at 9 am and the finals, presentations etc will wind up at around 5 pm.
Numerous masjids around Sydney have already indicated their keenness to participate but further teams and individuals are more than welcome to become involved.
