In a powerful display of compassion and community spirit, a dedicated team of 25 volunteers and their families spent their Saturday supporting those in need through the Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF) Soup Kitchen and a citywide meal distribution drive on  8 November.

The day began at the SAF Soup Kitchen, where volunteers prepared a warm and nourishing menu featuring lemon and garlic chicken, creamy mashed potatoes, and carrot–white chocolate cupcakes. Parents, children, and community members worked side by side, turning the kitchen into a hub of teamwork, care, and generosity.

Later in the evening, the efforts extended to Martin Place, Sydney, where the team—joined by additional volunteers—distributed 120 fresh meals to the homeless. Their commitment went beyond the main distribution point, as volunteers walked through nearby alleys, laneways, and hidden corners to reach individuals who were unable to come forward themselves.

In addition to its ongoing community work, the Shahid Afridi Foundation will be launching an Australia-wide fundraising campaign in January–February 2026, raising vital funds for Education, Water, and Flood Relief projects.

The tour will be joined by squash legend Jahangir Khan, and renowned Pakistani actors and fashion icons Faysal Quraishi and Aijaz Aslam. The foundation urges the community to come forward and support these impactful causes, helping beneficiaries both in Pakistan and Australia.

This heartfelt initiative served as a powerful reminder of the blessings bestowed by Allah and the profound joy found in serving humanity.
