The Tearful Poem:
One of the most poignant moments of the evening was the reading of a poem written by Fatma Hussien and recited by Rowah Hassan. The heart-felt poem, written on behalf of our sisters in Gaza, touched the hearts of all present. The words painted a vivid picture of a wedding day in the midst of conflict, evoking powerful emotions and calling attention to the struggles faced by the people in Gaza.
