Mehdad Maryam Sinclair is an acclaimed writer, narrator and teacher with over 30 years’ experience. She currently teaches for Compass-Islam or Youth, a Qibla for the Islamic Sciences initiative.
Initially featured on the Vermont Council on the Arts Artist-in-Residence and Performing Artists Register, and awarded an esteemed Vermont Council in the Humanities Fellowship, she migrated to Turkey and Jordan to continue her work.
In 2005 her book Miraculous Happenings in the Year of the Elephant won second place in the UK Islamic Foundations Writing for Children Contest and in 2011 her book When Wings Expands won in the UK Muslim Writers Association Competition.
She has produced five audio books and travels the world to present her narrations, which, according to the Late Grand Mufti of Jordan, Ali Salma Quda, may Allah be pleased with him, “will surly inspire love”.
