Event Details

Statistics show that up to half a million seniors spend Christmas Day alone, with 31% of over-75s stating that this was mostly due to their relatives living far away.
Many older people fail to receive an invitation at all, with damaged family ties often being cited as the reason.

A recent report found more than 350,000 older Australians live in social isolation all year round, and that the expectation of a family Christmas can lead to further depression when they are forgotten during this time of the year.

Let’s work together making change to stop elder abuse.

There are still placed available at the 5th national Elder Abuse Conference. Register before the 31 December 2017 and save 10%
