Following the recent deaths of a mother and her two young children in Sydney in connection with a domestic incident currently under police investigation, Muslim Cemeteries Board’s immediate focus has been to ensure the dignified burial of the deceased and to support the devastated family and friends both in Australia and overseas.
In this matter, MCB have worked closely with the Coroner’s Office to facilitate the release of the bodies for burial. Once released, the deceased will be laid to rest at Kemps Creek Memorial Park in a reserved burial plot donated by the Muslim Cemeteries Board.
Janaza Prayer will take place after Jumma prayer on Friday 29 May, at Lakemba Masjid followed by burial at 1:45pm at Kemps Creek Memorial Park, 230/260 Western Rd, Kemps Creek.
MCB extend our sincere gratitude to the Lebanese Muslim Association, Catholic Metropolitan Cemetery Trust for their generous contributions and Australian High Commission in Dhaka for their support towards this effort.
MCB also thanks many Bangladeshi community organisations and countless individuals for their support, efforts, and prayers, particularly the family and friends of the deceased for their strength, cooperation, and assistance throughout this heartbreaking process.
While the legal aspects of this matter remain with the authorities, it is hoped that providing a respectful and dignified burial for the deceased may bring some measure of comfort and closure to the grieving family.
The Muslim Cemeteries Board (MCB) is a registered Australian charity dedicated to assisting with Muslim burials and supporting grieving families.
MCB regularly assists vulnerable families facing tragic and unexpected circumstances. MCB encounters tragedies of many kinds, but this incident has deeply affected all members of our team, as it has the wider community.
Appeal is made to the public and media to allow the family privacy as they mourn their unimaginable loss.
