Over 400 creators, media professionals, filmmakers, scholars, and Muslim-led businesses from more than 40 countries gathered in Kuala Lumpur on 12-13 July 2025 for the inaugural Global Muslim Content Summit (GMC Summit), an unforgettable experience that many are calling the beginning of a new era for Muslim media.

Hosted by OnePath Network at The Westin Kuala Lumpur, this first-of-its-kind event was more than a conference. It was a movement, a bold step toward empowering Muslims to build content with truth, conviction and integrity, connect across continents, and tell our stories without compromise.

The summit was ceremonially opened by Nurul Izzah Anwar, Malaysian politician and daughter of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. Following her, Malaz Majanni, CEO of OnePath Network, shared the vision behind the summit and set the tone for a weekend defined by clarity of purpose, creative energy, and a confident vision for the future of Muslim media.

Guiding and energising the event was Muhammad Abdul-Aleem, an American Muslim content creator and former professional basketball player, who served as MC, injecting warmth, humour, and sincerity throughout.

A Global Stage for Muslim Voices

Featured speakers included:

  • Malaz Majanni, CEO of OnePath Network

  • and many more leading voices shaping the future of Islamic storytelling

The energy in the rooms, from main stage to breakout workshops, reflected a global ummah ready to take its digital presence seriously.

Content with Conviction

The two-day program explored how Muslims can grow online influence without compromising their faith, using content as a vehicle for dawah, service, and sincere impact. Themes included:

  • Faith-driven storytelling
  • Digital strategy
  • Ethics in media
  • The role of women in Muslim media
  • Technical skills and audience growth
  • Being Muslim in the Age of AI

Sessions were designed to meet creators at every stage of their journey, whether just starting or scaling globally. The atmosphere was equal parts professional, spiritual, and visionary.

A highlight was the live podcast performance by Safi Bros, no easy feat and a testament to the creativity, confidence, and boldness emerging from today’s Muslim media space.

Shaping The Future Of Islamic Digital Media

“We believe in the power of content and media,” said Malaz Majanni, CEO of OnePath Network. “We believe the world needs Muslim content creators who speak with conviction, create with passion, and serve with purpose. Together we’re planting seeds that, with Allah’s help, will grow into lasting impact.”

This message echoed throughout the weekend, in workshops, late-night conversations, and across the app where attendees were already collaborating.

The Start of a Global Movement

The GMC Summit wasn’t about algorithms, hype, or fame. It was about reviving purpose, realigning intention, and equipping Muslims to use media to uplift the ummah. It was about storytelling with ihsan, collaboration over competition, and planting seeds for a future where Muslim narratives are told with truth, beauty, and strength.

As the post-event buzz continues online and new collaborations begin, OnePath Network is already working on the next GMC Summit, with a renewed mission to empower Muslims to utilise media for dawah, champion Muslim causes, and share compelling stories that boldly represent Islam.
