The interim administrative board of the Australian Muslim Peace Federation Inc hosted an Iftar and panel discussion with invited guests on 29 June at Harris Park.

After prayers and Iftar, meeting began with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and then talk session with Dr Wali Islam and Dr Mohammed al-Jabri and Mr Aziz Akbar who gave a brief summary of the objectives of the Federation.

This was followed by an open dialogue between those present on the nature of the challenges faced by Muslims in the whole world and especially in Australia, as a result of the conflicts in the Middle East.

Dr Mohammed Al-Jabri emphasised the great responsibility of the Federation in promoting the spirit of love and cooperation between Muslims in Australia.

Expression of interest for membership were completed with the aim of holding the Federation’s first congress which will elect the Board of Trustees and the President of the Federation and working committees.
